Meet Alec: Reader, reinventor and writer
Right after leaving university I was in desperate need for ajob and was looking for a position in marketing.
I came across Tempo in my job hunt and saw they were advertising for an open position at their company. So I decided to check out their platform to find out more about them. It was then that I discovered all the many options on the platform itself and, after signing up, I was matched with an employer and had an awesome role within a few days!
The whole process is so simple, it’s like recruitment brought to the modern age, which is really refreshing. There is complete transparency, unlike with other recruitment processes where you have to write a cover letter before you even know if they would be a good fit for you.
I am now doing sales for UberEATS and am absolutely loving it here. I am getting such a wide breadth of experience and great hands-on training. The culture is perfect for me also, with a really fun, close-knit team and fast-paced environment.
One of the most important things for me in a job is having independence and flexibility. Nowadays, more and more people want to experience various skills and roles, instead of only having one career their whole life. This is something Tempo helps greatly with. The platform provides the option of having a flexible job but also the flexibility to have multiple jobs.
I highly recommend signing up to Tempo. In fact, I’m actually kind of annoyed I didn’t find out about it sooner!
Fun fact: I have my own website on the side, called thesummi.com, that summarises non-fiction books and provides their key highlights.
